Now, let's take a Story Walk around our classroom! As we walk, think about these questions:
As you walk, point out things you see that could be in a story. Maybe it’s a chair that looks like a throne or a shelf that reminds you of a castle!
Today, our special word is “adventure.”
Let’s all say it together: “Adventure!” Great job! Can you think of any books that have adventures in them?
Now is the time to jump into our own adventure! Grab your crayons and paper. Draw a picture of a place where you would like to go on an adventure. It could be a jungle, a castle, or even outer space!
Once you’re done, we’ll share our pictures and explain our adventures. This will help us practice sharing our thoughts and getting ready for our reading today!
