Gather the Students: Invite your students to sit in a circle on the carpet.
Reveal the Book Bag: Show them the colorful bag and say,
"Aujourd'hui, j'ai une surprise! C'est notre sac magique avec des livres français!"
Explain the Magic: Tell them that this book bag is special because it holds stories that will take us on adventures in the French-speaking world.
"Chaque livre ici va nous raconter une histoire de magie, d’amitié, et de découvertes!"
Introduce a Puppet: If you have a puppet or stuffed animal, introduce it to the class as your "reading helper."

Engage the Students: Ask the students how they think Pierre feels about reading and what adventures they want to go on.

Read Aloud: Once a book is chosen, read it together. Use enthusiasm in your voice and gesture dramatically, allowing the students to participate by repeating key phrases or words.
“Regardez! C'est une belle journée!” - point to the illustrations as you go.
Wrap-Up with a Reward: After the story, congratulate the students on their participation and ask them to come up and pick a sticker to place on a "French Reading Wall" as a representation of their adventure in reading.
