Lesson Introduction

¡Hola, clase! Today, we are going to embark on an exciting adventure through the pages of a story. But before we dive in, I want you to close your eyes for a moment and imagine a magical world. Visualize a place where animals can talk, where castles touch the sky, or where superheroes save the day. Can you see it?

The Magic of Reading

Reading is like a portal to different worlds. When we read, we not only learn new words and ideas, but we also visit new places and meet fantastic characters.

Activity: The Mystery Box

To kick off our reading lesson, I have brought a Mystery Box! Inside this box, there are various objects that relate to different stories we might read today. Each of you will take turns picking an object from the box without looking.

Instructions:

1. Pick an Object: Reach into the mystery box and grab an object.
2. Guess the Story: Once everyone has picked an object, we'll go around the room. You’ll have to describe your object, and the class will guess which story it might be connected to!
3. Discuss: After the guesses, we will talk about why reading these stories can be fun and important.

Example Object: A Superhero Mask

• Description: "This is a mask that a superhero might wear."
• Guess: "Could it be connected to 'El Hombre Araña' (Spider-Man)?"

Transition to Reading
