Icebreaker Activity: "Two Truths and a Lie"
Objective:

Instructions:

Introduction (5 minutes):
- Begin by welcoming the students to English class and expressing excitement for a fun year ahead.
- Briefly explain the importance of building friendships and understanding one another in a classroom setting.

Explain the Game (10 minutes):
- Introduce the game “Two Truths and a Lie.”
- Explain the rules:
- Each student will take turns sharing three statements about themselves.
- Two of these statements must be true, and one must be a lie.
- The rest of the class will guess which statement is the lie.

Preparation (5 minutes):
- Give students a few minutes to think of their statements. Encourage them to choose interesting or unique facts that their classmates might not know.

- Invite students to share their statements one by one.
- After each student shares, allow the class to discuss and make guesses about which statement is the lie.
- After guesses are made, the student reveals the correct answer and can share a little more about the truths.
