Dear Second Graders,
Welcome to the magical world of Mathland! ✨ Today, we have a special mission to solve some exciting puzzles that involve addition and subtraction.
But first, let’s get ready for our adventure! Imagine we are all brave explorers heading to the enchanted castle where the numbers live!
Before we begin our journey, take a look at this treasure map below. The map shows us different locations that hold clues, but we will only find the treasure if we solve our math problems correctly!
To enter the Dragon's Den, we need to solve the first clue:
“There are 3 friendly dragons in the den. If 2 more dragons join them, how many dragons are there now?”
Once we finish at the Dragon's Den, let’s venture into the Forest of Fants, where we need to solve this:
“If there are 10 Fants and 4 of them fly away, how many Fants are left in the forest?”
Once we successfully solve these clues, we’ll earn a golden key that will unlock the treasure chest at the end of our lesson. Inside the chest, we'll find fun math stickers and certificates for our brave explorers!
Let’s get our thinking caps on and embark on this math adventure! Remember, every clue is a step closer to the hidden treasure. Are you ready? Go!
Let’s solve these clues and find our treasure! Happy exploring! 🗺️
