Engage the Students:

After unwrapping, ask each student to turn to a partner and share their thoughts on the following questions:

  1. What adventures do you think you could find in a book?
  2. Have you ever read a story that took you somewhere magical? Describe it!

Transition to the Lesson:

Once the discussions are winding down, gather the students' attention back to the front. Explain the purpose of today’s lesson:

“Just like the gifts you unwrapped, every book holds a treasure waiting to be discovered. Today, we’re going to dive into some fantastic stories that will spark our imaginations and take us on incredible journeys!”

Closing the Introduction:

End the introduction by reminding students that every good adventure starts with a single step (or page!). Encourage them to think of reading as a thrilling journey they can embark on together.

By using this imaginative introduction, you set a positive and energetic tone for the reading lesson, encouraging students to engage with the material while fostering their love for books!
