Good morning, little explorers! Today, we are going on a Shape Adventure! 🌟 Have you ever looked around and noticed the different shapes all around you? From the roundness of a ball to the pointy edges of a triangle, shapes are everywhere!
Before we dive into our adventure, let’s sing our Shape Song! You can follow along with hand gestures to help us remember the shapes we’ll meet today.
🎤 To the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star":
Circle, circle, round and bright,
Like a pizza, oh what a sight!
Square and square, with corners four,
Like a box or a big door!
Triangle, triangle, three sides to see,
Like a slice of yummy pizza, oh wee!
Shapes are everywhere, as you can see,
Let’s find them all, just you and me! Now, let’s get ready for our adventure! Imagine we are explorers in a magical land where shapes come to life.
Draw Our Shape Land: Each of you will add a shape to our map. For example, who can draw a circle? What about a square? Let’s fill our Shape Land with every shape we can think of!
Shape Hunt: After our map is filled, we will go on a shape hunt around the classroom. Can you find a circle? A triangle? Let’s see how many shapes we can discover together!
At the end of our adventure, we will come back together to share the shapes we found and discuss how we see shapes in our everyday lives. Let’s have a fantastic time learning about shapes, and remember—every shape has a special story to tell!
