Setting the Scene

Imagine we are stepping into a beautiful forest filled with colorful trees, sparkling rivers, and friendly animals. Each spot in this forest is home to a special number, and today, our mission is to help the numbers find their matching friends!

Activity: Matching Numbers Game

1. Gather Around the Number Tree
   Let’s all sit in a circle. Imagine we are all standing around a giant Number Tree with numbers hanging from the branches. They are so excited to meet their matching buddies!

2. Number Cards
   I have a set of cards with numbers on them (1 to 10). Each card has a unique color and shape that will help us remember them. When I hold up a number card, I want you to help me find another card with the same number. This is how we will help our numbers find their matches today!

3. The Number Dance
   When we find a matching pair, we will do the “Number Dance!” Let’s create some funny moves to celebrate our matching buddies! For example, we can spin around or hop on one foot while holding our cards.
