Hello, little explorers! 🐠🌊 Today, we're going to dive deep into the ocean and discover all the amazing things that live under the sea! But wait—before we set off on our adventure, let’s talk about something super exciting that we’ll need to help us along the way: MATHS!
Let’s gather around in a circle and start with a story!
🌟 Once upon a time, in a shimmering blue ocean, there lived a friendly dolphin named Danny. Danny loved to play games with his fishy friends. One sunny day, they decided to have a counting contest to see who could find the most colourful seashells! 🌟
As you listen to the story, keep your eyes and ears open for numbers and shapes! We’ll use them to help Danny and his friends!
Next, we’re going to gather some colourful paper seashells that I’ve hidden around the classroom! Each shell will have a number on it — let’s see how many we can find together!
After our adventure, I’d love to hear about your favourite seashell! Show it to the class and tell us what number you found!
As we sit back down, let’s reflect on our adventure.
And just like that, we’ve had a splashing good time with maths under the sea! 🌊💙
Now, let’s dive into our next activity where we’ll explore shapes using our ocean friends!
Feel free to adjust any of the activities based on your class’s interests and capabilities. Let’s make maths fun and memorable together!
