What’s Inside?

To kick off our lesson, I have a special Mystery Box! Inside this box, I have hidden various items related to camping. These items could be anything from a flashlight, a compass, some marshmallows, or even a map!

Your Mission

1. Group Up!: Let’s split the class into small groups of 3 or 4.
2. Take a Peek: One group at a time, you’ll come up and pick one item from the Mystery Box without looking. You must guess what it is by feeling it.
3. Tell a Story: Once you’ve guessed the item, each group will come up with a short camping story that includes that item. For example, if you pick a marshmallow, your story could be about a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing ghost stories with friends!

Share with the Class

After all the groups have shared their stories, we’ll discuss the elements of a good camping story. We’ll focus on important aspects like setting, characters, and adventure.
