Imagine you're stepping into a quaint French café. The smell of fresh croissants fills the air, and the sound of laughter and friendly chatter surrounds you. As you walk in, the cheerful waiter greets you with a smile and says, “Bonjour!” What do you respond with? Would you know how to chat with the locals?
To kick off our lesson on French greetings, we'll bring the café experience to you! You will join a virtual café role-play where some of you will take on the roles of the café staff, and others will be the customers.

After the role-play, we will debrief as a class. We'll discuss what you felt went well and what was challenging. How did using greetings change the atmosphere of your interaction? Why do you think greetings are important in building relationships, especially in a new language?
By immersing ourselves in an engaging role-play, we'll not only learn how to greet each other in French but also appreciate the cultural nuances that make language learning a rich and exciting experience. Let’s jump into our French café and start the conversation!
