Lesson Kick-off

1. Gather the Students
Start by bringing the students together in a circle. Create an enthusiastic atmosphere by using a treasure map graphic on the board. Explain that they are about to embark on a quest to uncover the secrets of the SPAG Pirate, who has hidden treasure around the classroom!

2. Introduce SPAG
Explain each component of SPAG briefly:
