• A box or container (e.g., a shoe box, decorated cardboard box)
• Various items to include in the box (approximately 10-15 items):
  • A toy figurine (e.g., a knight, an astronaut)
  • A mysterious key
  • A feather
  • A small mirror
  • A piece of string
  • An old photograph
  • A random household item (e.g., an egg timer, rubber band)
  • Colorful stones or marbles
  • A mini notepad & pencil

Introduction (10 minutes)

1. Capture Attention: Start by dimming the lights slightly and asking the students to close their eyes for 30 seconds. Instruct them to imagine a world where any object can have a story. Use phrases like, “What secrets does a lost key hold? What adventures could a toy knight embark on?”

2. Reveal the Story Box: After the brief visualization, introduce the Story Box. Explain that inside this box are items that can spark incredible stories and adventures.

Activity Procedure (20 minutes)

1. Exploration:

   • Pass around the Story Box and allow students to take turns pulling out an item.
   • For each item, encourage students to brainstorm and share ideas about what kind of story it could inspire. Questions to fuel discussion:
