Materials
- Picture cards with objects (animals, fruits, toys, etc.)
- Whiteboard and marker
- The image of a smiling cartoon character holding two fruit baskets filled with different and same fruits {The image of a smiling cartoon character holding two fruit baskets filled with different and same fruits}
Procedure
- Greet the students and introduce the lesson topic: Same or Difference.
- Show the students the image of the smiling cartoon character holding two fruit baskets. Ask the students if they notice anything same or different about the fruits in each basket.
- Use the objects in the picture cards to demonstrate the concept of same or different. Show two picture cards, one with the same object and one with a different object. Ask students to identify which is the same or different.
- Draw a T-Chart on the whiteboard and write 'Same' on one side and 'Different' on the other. Have the students help you classify objects based on similarities or differences.
- Use additional picture cards to continue practicing identifying same or different objects.
- To enhance the activity, you can also let the students bring their favorite toy and ask them to identify differences and similarities between their toy and their classmate's toy.
- Wrap up the lesson by reviewing the concept of same and difference.
Assessment/Evaluation
Evaluate the students' understanding of the concept by observing their ability to identify/sort objects based on similarities or differences.
Homework
Ask the students to identify same or different objects at home and discuss it with their parents or guardians.
