Lesson Objective

Materials Needed
- Colorful shape cut-outs (circle, square, triangle)

Introduction (5 Minutes)
- Greeting: Welcome the students with a cheerful "Hello!"
- Objective Introduction: Briefly explain what the lesson will cover: “Today we will learn about colors and shapes!”
- Engage the Kids: Show students the colorful shape cut-outs and ask, “Who can tell me what colors these shapes are?”
Direct Instruction (15 Minutes)
1. Color and Shape Identification (10 Minutes)

Show & Tell: Hold up each shape cut-out and ask the children to identify the shapes and colors.
- Example Questions:
- “What shape is this?”
- “What color is the triangle?”

Flashcard Activity: Use color and shape recognition flashcards. Show each card and ask students to say the color and shape together.
2. Story Time (5 Minutes)

- Stop periodically to ask questions:
- “What color is the bear?”
- “What shape is that in the picture?”
Guided Practice (5 Minutes)
- Creative Art: Provide students with white paper and crayons/markers.
- Task 1: Ask each student to draw their favorite shape and color it.
- Task 2: Encourage them to share their drawing with a partner, describing the color and shape.
Independent Practice (3 Minutes)
- Color and Shape Hunt: Instruct the students to find one item in the classroom that is a specific color and shape. For example:

Conclusion (2 Minutes)
- Review: Quickly recap the lesson by asking:
