Welcome to today’s lesson on making calls! Whether it’s in a professional setting, for networking, or simply connecting with friends and family, knowing how to make effective calls can significantly enhance your communication skills. To kick off our session, let’s engage in a creative warm-up activity that will prepare us for the skills we’ll be developing.
The purpose of this game is to help you feel more comfortable and confident while making calls, as well as to emphasize the importance of preparation and strategy.
Gather in Pairs: Form pairs among the participants. If there's an odd number of participants, one group can consist of three.
Role Play: In each pair, one person will take on the role of the caller, and the other will be the recipient.
Scenario Creation:
The Call: Set a timer for 5 minutes. The caller will initiate the call using their created scenario while the recipient engages authentically.
Reflection: After the call, switch roles and repeat the process. After both have completed their calls, come back together as a group to reflect on your experiences.
