- Construction paper
- Glue and tape
- Scissors (safety scissors for young children)

Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
- Gather the children and introduce the concept of building a bear house.
- Discuss what makes a cozy home for a bear (e.g., warmth, a soft bed, decorations).
- Show examples of bear houses using pictures or drawings.
2. Planning The Design (10 minutes)
- Hand out blank sheets of construction paper.
- Ask students to draw their ideas for a bear house. Encourage them to think about the shape, size, and decorations.
- Circulate around the room to offer encouragement and ask questions about their designs.
3. Building the Bear House (30 minutes)
- Divide the students into small groups (3-4 children per group).
- Distribute the cardboard boxes and other crafting materials to each group.
- Explain to the students that they will work together to create a bear house based on their designs.
- Encourage them to talk and collaborate about how to decorate and personalize their bear houses.
4. Creating the Bear Beds (15 minutes)
- After the house is built, provide each group with the Bear Bed Template.
- Explain that they can use the template to create soft beds for their bears inside the house.

Conclusion (5 minutes)
- Gather the children in a circle and reflect on the activity.
- Ask questions like:
- What was your favorite part of building the bear house?
- How did you decide to decorate your bear bed?
- What would you add to your bear house next time?
Clean-Up and Display
- Have the students assist in cleaning up the materials.
- Once cleaned, find a place in the classroom to display their bear houses for everyone to enjoy!
Encourage children to use their imagination and creativity throughout the entire process. This practice session not only develops their artistic skills but also fosters collaboration and communication. Happy crafting!
