Hello, young artists! Today is a very special day because it’s Dot Day! We're going to dive into a colorful world of dots and discover how they can be used to create beautiful art. Are you ready to unleash your creativity? Let’s get started!
Dot Day is inspired by the wonderful book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. In this story, a little girl learns that making art doesn’t have to be perfect; it just needs to start with a simple dot! Each dot can change the world of art, just like you!
Start with a Dot: Take your paper and choose a color. Make a big dot in the middle of your page using your marker or stick a dot sticker. Remember, it's just a dot!
Create Around Your Dot: Now, look at that dot. How many different things can you turn it into? Maybe it’s a cute ladybug, a ball, or even the sun!
Add More Dots: If you want, you can add more dots in different colors. What happens when you make a dot here or there? Let your imagination run wild!
Share Your Dot Art: When you finish your masterpiece, we'll have a mini gallery walk! You can share with your friends what your dot became and how you created it.
After the gallery walk, we’ll sit in a circle and talk about how each of our dots is unique, just like us! This reminds us that art is all about expressing who we are—every dot matters!
Today, let's celebrate our creativity, imagination, and the beauty of dots! Remember, it all starts with a single dot. Who knows? Maybe your dot will change the world!
Let’s make some amazing art together! 🎉
