Objective
Students will be able to identify and express various emotions in Spanish. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use vocabulary related to emotions in simple sentences.
Materials Needed
- Flashcards with emotion illustrations (happy, sad, angry, scared, surprised, etc.)
- Whiteboard and markers
- Emotion vocabulary handouts
- A short video clip demonstrating emotions (optional)
- Drawing paper and colored pencils
Introduction (5 minutes)

- Start with a brief discussion asking students to share how they feel today.

- Present the following emotions using flashcards:
- Feliz (happy)
- Triste (sad)
- Enojado/a (angry)
- Asustado/a (scared)
- Sorprendido/a (surprised)
- Repeat each word several times, encouraging students to repeat after you.

- Use simple sentences to contextualize each emotion:
- Estoy feliz. (I am happy.)
- Ella está triste. (She is sad.)
- Encourage students to come up with their sentences.
Guided Practice (5 minutes)
- Emotion Charades:
- Divide the class into small groups.
- Each group will take turns acting out different emotions while their classmates guess the emotion in Spanish.
- Encourage students to say the name of the emotion once it’s guessed correctly.
Independent Practice (10 minutes)
