Hello, little athletes! Today is a very special day because it’s our first day of Physical Education! I am so excited to meet each of you and start our journey of fun, movement, and making new friends. Are you ready to jump, run, and play? Let’s get started!
To kick off our lesson, we are going to gather in a circle. Here’s what we’ll do:
Pass the Ball: We will take turns passing a soft ball around the circle. When you catch the ball, tell us your name and your favorite game to play! For example, “Hi, I’m Emma, and I love tag!”
Movement Stretch: After everyone has introduced themselves, let’s stretch our bodies! Can you reach for the sky? How about touch your toes? Let’s pretend we are trees swaying in the wind!
Now that we know each other, it’s time for a mini obstacle course! Here’s how it will work:
At the end of our fun day, we will gather back in our circle again. Here’s what we’ll do:
Sharing Time: Everyone will have a chance to share what they liked best about today! Was it the hula hoops, the cones, or jumping?
Preview: We will talk about what fun activities we will do throughout the year in Physical Education. Get ready for exciting games, teamwork, and new skills!
Before we finish our lesson, let’s do a fun goodbye dance! We can clap our hands, stomp our feet, and shake our arms! Dancing is a great way to celebrate our first day together.
Remember, every time we come to P.E., we’ll learn something new and exciting while having lots of fun. I can’t wait to see you all back for our next lesson! Let’s make this year the best ever! 🏅
Teacher’s Note: Parents, please encourage your kids to talk about their day in P.E. and remind them to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for our activities!
