Scenario: Imagine you are in charge of a new country that needs a government. You have the power to create three branches, just like the U.S. government did. However, each branch must be unique and have different responsibilities.

Task:

  1. Think-Pair-Share:

    • Take a minute to jot down your ideas for each branch on a sticky note. Make sure to include:

      • Branch Name
      • Main Function/Purpose
      • One Unique Power or Responsibility
    • After five minutes, pair up with a partner and discuss your ideas.

  2. Class Discussion:

    • After sharing with your partner, we will have a brief discussion where a few students can share their thoughts.
