Introduction (5 Minutes)

Direct Instruction (10 Minutes)
- Introduce Numbers 11-20: Explain the structure of numbers 11-15 (onze, doce, trece, catorce, quince) and how they differ from 16-20.
- Numbers 21-30: Explain the pattern (veintiuno, veintidos, etc.) and teach the full numbers up to 30.
- Tens: Introduce numbers 30-100 focusing on the tens place (treinta, cuarenta, cincuenta, etc.).
- Use flashcards to visually reinforce the numbers being taught. Have students repeat after you for pronunciation practice.
Guided Practice (5 Minutes)
- Pair students and give them a set of flashcards. Ask them to take turns quizzing each other on the numbers.
- Circulate the room to assist and ensure correct pronunciation.
- After a few minutes, come back together as a class and review some of the numbers.
Independent Practice (5 Minutes)
- Hand out worksheets that contain exercises where students write the Spanish spelling of numbers or fill in blanks with the correct number words based on given numerical hints.
- Encourage students to use the handouts to complete their exercises.
