Title: "The Mysterious Map of Words"
Introduction:
Picture this: You are an explorer in a vast, uncharted territory filled with fantastic words, shimmering sentences, and vibrant paragraphs. But, oh no! Your treasure map, which shows the way to storytelling glory, has scattered pieces all over the classroom.
Activity: Word Map Scavenger Hunt
Spread out different pieces of “map” (papers with descriptions of each stage of the writing process) around the classroom, making them look like ancient scrolls.
Instructions:
Tell the students they have a mission: to gather all the scattered pieces of the writing map and bring them back together. As they find each piece, they will discuss what that part of the writing process means and how it contributes to becoming a great writer.
