Introduction

Setting the Scene

Imagine we’re in a lush, enchanted forest. There are tall trees that sway gently in the wind, flowers blooming in every colour, and tiny magical creatures peeking out from behind the bushes. Can you see it in your mind?

Sharing Ideas

• Ask the Children: What do you see in this enchanted forest? Are there friendly animals? Is there a sparkling stream?
• Write Together: Let’s write down some of the words that come to mind. For example, “tree”, “bunny”, “sparkle”.

The Adventure Begins

Now that we have our magical words, it's time to create our own treasure story!

1. Tell a Short Story: I’m going to share a little story about a brave bunny who found a hidden treasure in the forest. Listen carefully, and think about your own treasure story!

   Once upon a time, in a magical forest, there was a brave little bunny named Benny. Benny loved to explore. One day, Benny found a shiny golden key hidden under a big, green leaf. What could it unlock?

2. Brainstorm Together: After the story, let’s brainstorm what Benny might find when he uses the key. What treasures could be hidden away?

Writing Fun!

Now it’s your turn! On your treasure map (the blank paper), draw a picture of your own adventure. What treasure will you find? Will it be a pot of gold, a pile of sparkling gems, or something else?

Guided Writing

• Help Them Form Words: Ask the kids to tell you what they want to write about their treasure and help them sound out the words.
• Encourage Creativity: It's okay if their spelling isn't perfect! Encourage them to use their imagination.

Wrap Up

As we finish our writing adventure, let’s share our treasure stories with each other!

• Story Time: One by one, each adventurer can tell us about their treasure while showing their lovely drawings.
