Gather 'Round!

To begin our lesson, let’s all sit in a big circle on the carpet. In the middle of our circle, we have a special Magic Number Wheel. This wheel is filled with numbers, and when we spin it, a new number will pop up!

Spinning the Wheel

1. Spin the Wheel: I will give it a good spin, and whatever number it lands on will be our special number for today!
2. Count Together: Once we see the number, we will all count out loud together using our fingers. For example, if it lands on 4, we’ll hold up four fingers and count: "One, two, three, four!" Can everyone show me their fingers?

The Mystery of the Numbers

Now that we have our mystery number, let's dive deeper!

• Ask Questions:

  • "How many objects can we find around the room that match our number?"
  • "Can anyone think of a fun shape that has the same number of sides as our number?"
