Objective

- White paper
- Non-toxic markers or crayons
- Glue

Lesson Outline
Introduction (5 minutes)
- Gather students in a circle.
- Show color flashcards and ask students to name each color.
- Engage students by asking questions, such as, "Can you point to something red in the room?"
Activity 1: Color Sorting (10 minutes)
- Divide students into small groups and provide each group with a mix of colored objects.
- Instruct students to sort the objects by color.
- Walk around to observe and assist as needed.
- After sorting, ask each group to share what colors they sorted and how many objects of each color they had.
Activity 2: Color Art Project (10 minutes)
- Give each student a sheet of white paper.
- Provide markers or crayons, and encourage students to draw or color something using all the colors discussed.
- Optionally, students can glue colored paper scraps onto their artwork for texture.
- Allow students to share their artwork with the class.
Conclusion (5 minutes)
- Gather students back in a circle.
- Review the colors learned today and ask for volunteers to name their favorite color and show a related object from the classroom.
- Congratulate students on their hard work and creativity.
Assessment
- Observe students during the sorting activity to assess understanding of colors.
- Evaluate students’ artwork for creativity and use of various colors.
Homework
Color Scavenger Hunt:
- Find 3 objects at home that are different colors (red, blue, yellow, green).
- Draw a picture of each object and write down its color.
