Today, we will explore the wonderful season of Fall through storytime, songs, and fun crafts!
Start with a big surprise! Place a basket filled with colorful leaves, small pumpkins, and acorns at the front of the class. Invite the children to gather around.
Begin by saying: "Welcome to our magical Fall Adventure! Look at this special basket filled with treasures from Fall! Each item has a story to tell. Today, we’re going to go on a fantastic journey to discover the wonders of this beautiful season!"
After the story, get your little ones ready to sing!
Introduce the song by saying: "Let's sing a fun song about leaves falling from trees! Can you wiggle your fingers like leaves blowing in the wind?"
Sing:
Five little leaves so bright and gay,
Were dancing in the breeze one day.
Along came the wind, who blew one away…
(Continue until all five leaves are gone!)
To wrap up the lesson, transition into a fun craft:
Explain: "Now that we know more about Fall, let’s create a beautiful leaf collage! We will use colored paper leaves, glue, and our imagination to make our own Fall artwork."
Round off the lesson by sitting in a circle and sharing what everyone loved most about Fall. Remind them of the treasures they discovered and encourage them to look for Fall items outside when they go home.
