# Introduction to Complements to 10

## 🎉 Welcome to Math Magic! 🎉

Hello, young mathematicians! 🌟 Today, we are going to embark on a fun mathematical adventure as we explore the **complements to 10**! Before we kick off our lesson, let's start with an exciting game that will spark our minds and get us thinking about numbers!

## 🕵️‍♂️ Number Detective Game

### **Objective:**
Become a number detective and uncover the secret partners of the number 10!

### **How to Play:**
1. **Gather in a Circle:**
Let's all sit in a circle on the floor.

2. **Get Your Detective Hats On:**
Grab a piece of paper and a pencil, and wear your imaginary detective hats! 🎩🕵️‍♀️

3. **The Secret Number:**
One of you will think of a number between 1 and 10 (let's call this “your secret number”).

4. **Ask Detective Questions:**
The rest of us will take turns asking questions to find out what your secret number is! But there’s a twist – you can only say if we are **too high** or **too low**.

5. **Discovering Complements:**
Once someone guesses your secret number correctly, everyone will shout out the complement to 10! For example, if the secret number is 4, we will all say "6!" because 4 + 6 = 10!

6. **Switch Up the Roles:**
After a few rounds, we can switch roles so everyone gets a turn to be the secret number holder.

### **Why is This Fun?**
Not only will we sharpen our guessing skills, but we’ll also unlock the secrets of how numbers come together to make 10! Each time we call out a complement, we’re learning a new math fact.

## 🖌️ **Get Creative:**
When it’s your turn to hold the secret number, feel free to add a story element! For example, if your secret number is 3, you could say, “This number is the number of dogs in a park, how many more do we need to have a total of 10 dogs?” 🐶

## 🤔 Let’s Get Started!
Now that you’re warmed up as number detectives, let’s move on to our main lesson on **complements to 10**. Remember, every good math detective knows how to work with numbers closely to uncover their hidden truths!

Are we ready? Let’s begin our discovery!
