Introduction:

Imagine you are an explorer in a mysterious land filled with hidden treasures. These treasures are not just gold and jewels, but special shapes that hold the secrets to geometry! Your mission today is to find these shapes and uncover their mysteries.

Starter Activity:

Shape Scavenger Hunt:
- As you enter the classroom, you’ll find various shapes hidden around the room. Your job is to locate them and bring them back to your desk.
- Each shape you find has a special number attached. Write down the number and the name of the shape next to it.
Join the Team:
- Form groups of four. Share what shapes you found and discuss:
  - What do you notice about the shapes?
  - How many sides does each shape have?
  - Are any of the shapes similar?

Once everyone has gathered their shapes and shared their findings, we’ll come together to discuss:
