Good morning, little learners! Today, we're going to embark on a fun-filled adventure into the magical world of rhymes! 🐻✨ Who's excited? (Pause for excitement!) That's the spirit!
Let’s start with a little mystery! I have a special treasure map here, filled with clues! Let me read our first clue:
"In the sky, I can fly,
I’m not a bird but I say 'Hi!'
What am I?"
Can anyone guess what it is? (Pause for answers.) That’s right! It’s a kite! Now, kite and hi rhyme. Can you hear the same sound at the end?
Now, let's make it even more exciting! I have some props hidden in this treasure box. Let’s open it together. 🎁
(Allow children to take turns picking out different items: a hat, a cat, and a bat.)
As each item comes out, let’s say them together:
Can you hear how they sound at the end? They all rhyme!
To celebrate our rhyme treasure, let’s sing a silly rhyme song together!
(To the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"):
Rhyme, rhyme, fun and bright,
Words that sound just right,
Hat, cat, and a bat, oh me!
Let’s find more, just wait and see!
Rhyme, rhyme, join the song,
We can all sing along!
Now it’s time for some drawing! Grab some paper and crayons! 🎨
Can you draw something that rhymes with your name? For example, if your name is Sam, you could draw a ham! Let’s get creative!
What a wonderful start! By exploring rhymes through clues, props, a song, and drawing, you’ve all helped us kick off our day of fun learning! 🌟 I can't wait to see what you create!
Remember: Rhymes are everywhere! Keep listening for them as we discover more in our lesson today.
Let’s go and have some rhyme-tastic fun! 🎊😊
