Good morning, little mathematicians! Today, we're going to travel to a magical place called Shape Land! Are you ready? Let’s put on our imaginary adventure caps and get set to explore together!
Gather 'Round: Gather in a circle and tell the children they are going to be shape explorers today!
Fun Sounds: Make sounds of a rocket launching:
Introduce Colors and Shapes: Show a big picture of different shapes (circle, square, triangle) and bright colors. Use visuals that they can recognize!
Objective: Find and identify shapes around the room.
Instructions:
Once they find an object that matches a shape:
Praise Them: “Wow, you found a circle! Great job, shape explorer!”
Group Discussion: Gather in a circle again and let each child share their shape discovery.
Let’s get started with our exciting math adventure in Shape Land!
