Salut! Welcome to your first French lesson! I'm excited to share with you this beautiful language and culture. Today, we'll start by introducing ourselves in French.
Before we begin, let's get into a French state of mind. Let's imagine we're in a café in Paris, sipping on a café au lait. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Now, repeat after me: "Bonjour".
"Bonjour" means "hello" in French. It's a common greeting that you'll use every day in French. Let's learn some more words we can use to introduce ourselves:
Now, let's practice introducing ourselves. First, let's start with "Bonjour, je m'appelle..." and say our names. We'll go around the class and practice saying our names in French.
Next, let's do a roleplay. Pretend you're meeting someone for the first time. One of you will introduce yourself, and the other will respond. Use the vocabulary we just learned.
Great job! We've just started our journey in learning French. Keep practicing and using your new vocabulary every day. À bientôt! (See you soon!)
