In this lesson, we will be learning about shapes that are all around us and how to identify different shapes.
To start this lesson, we will play a game called "I Spy." The teacher will say "I spy with my little eye a shape that has four sides and four angles." The students will then try to guess which shape the teacher is describing. The teacher can continue with "I spy with my little eye a shape that has three sides and three angles" and so on until all the basic shapes have been covered.
After the game, we will talk about the different shapes that we saw during the game, and how we can identify each shape. We will discuss the number of sides and angles of each shape and what makes them unique.
By the end of this lesson, the students should be able to identify different shapes and their characteristics. This activity will help to build a foundation for future math lessons on geometry.
