  1. Introduction (5 minutes)

    • Greet the students and introduce the topic of the day, which is Plants
    • Show pictures of different plants and ask the students if they know the names of any of them
    • Briefly discuss why plants are important to us
  2. Parts of a Plant (10 minutes)

    • Show the Parts of a Plant handout and discuss the different parts of a plant (roots, stem, leaves, flowers, fruits)
    • Explain the functions of each part of a plant (e.g. roots absorb water and nutrients, stem supports the plant, leaves make food for the plant)
    • Use simple examples and illustrations to help with understanding
  3. Activity (10 minutes)

    • Give each student a picture of a plant or an actual plant specimen (if available)
    • Have the students identify the different parts of the plant and label them with their corresponding functions
    • Circulate around the room and provide assistance as needed
  4. Discussion (5 minutes)

    • Ask the students to share their observations and insights from the activity
    • Sum up the importance of plants in our ecosystem
  5. Conclusion (5 minutes)
