Warm-up Activity (5 minutes): Begin the lesson by asking students to brainstorm as many job titles as they can in one minute. Write their ideas on the board and review any unfamiliar terms.
Vocabulary Activity (5 minutes): Introduce a list of common job-related vocabulary words, such as resume, cover letter, salary, benefits, etc. Have students repeat each word and provide an example sentence using the word.
Role Play Activity (15 minutes): Divide students into pairs, and assign each pair a job-related scenario, such as a job interview or a workplace conflict. Provide them with a list of common interview questions and have them practice answering them with their partner. Afterward, have students switch roles and repeat the activity.
Listening Activity (5 minutes): Play an audio recording of a mock job interview. Afterward, discuss the interview questions and answers with the class.
Homework Assignment (5 minutes): Assign students to research a job posting for a career they're interested in. For homework, they should prepare a cover letter and resume.
