Introduction: A Mysterious Science Box
Objective
To captivate students' interest in science through an engaging introduction that sets the tone for the lesson and encourages curiosity.
Materials Needed
- A box (real or decorated) that is not see-through
- A selection of interesting objects related to the day's science topic (e.g., rocks, leaves, magnets, a small model of the solar system, etc.)
- A large piece of paper or a whiteboard
The Activity

The Mysterious Box Reveal
- At the start of the class, place a covered or non-transparent box at the front of the room.
- Tell the students that inside this box are many mysteries of science waiting to be discovered!

Group Brainstorming
- Invite the students to guess what might be inside the box. Encourage them to think creatively and share their ideas.
- Write their guesses on a large piece of paper or whiteboard. This will make them feel involved and spark their imagination.

The Big Reveal
- Once the brainstorming session is complete, open the box and show them one object at a time. For each item, ask:
- What do you think this is?
- How do you think it relates to science?
- Allow them to explore the items and discuss what they observe and wonder about each one.
