Introduction (5 minutes): Begin the lesson by warming up the students with a game of Simon Says. Use body parts vocabulary in Spanish (e.g. Simon dice toca tu nariz). This activity will be a fun way to get the students familiar with the vocabulary that will be covered in the lesson.
Presentation (15 minutes): Show the poster of the human body with labels in Spanish, and go through the parts of the body with the students. Explain the meaning of the words and model their pronunciation.
Practice (20 minutes): Use flashcards to revise the vocabulary with the students. Show them the flashcards with different body parts, and ask them to name each body part in Spanish. Then, ask students to describe the body parts (e.g. ¿Qué parte del cuerpo usas para caminar? - Las piernas).
Production (10 minutes): Have students work in pairs or small groups to create a simple sentence using body parts vocabulary in Spanish. Monitor the students and provide assistance as needed.
Wrap-up (5 minutes): Review the vocabulary covered in the lesson and ask students to share what they have learned. End the lesson with a quick game of charades, where students have to act out a body part in Spanish for their classmates to guess.
Simon Says: Use body parts vocabulary in Spanish to give commands to the students (e.g. Simon dice toca tu frente).
Charades: One student acts out a body part in Spanish while the rest of the class tries to guess which body part it is.
