It was a sunny day in May. The sky was bright and blue. The birds were chirping, and the bunnies were hopping. In a small, cozy place, there lived a happy boy named Ray. Ray loved to play.
Ray had a big imagination. He could make any game come to life! One day, he said, “Today, I will play in my magical land. I will be a brave knight!” Ray grabbed his toy sword and put on his shiny cap.
With a whoosh, Ray stepped into his magical land. The grass was soft and green. Flowers bloomed everywhere. Butterflies danced in the air. Ray saw a big dragon made of clay! The dragon was friendly and said, “Hi, Ray! Let’s play!”
Ray smiled and said, “Yes! What game shall we play, Mr. Dragon?” The dragon flapped its wings and responded, “Let’s play a game of chase! I will fly, and you can try to catch me!”
Ray counted to ten. “One, two, three! Here I come!” Ray ran fast. The dragon flew high. Ray laughed and chased the dragon around the flowers.
After a while, the dragon said, “Let’s paint the sky! I have magic paint!” Ray’s eyes grew wide. “Magic paint? Yes, please!” The dragon waved its wings and brought out big pots of colors.
Ray dipped his brush into blue, red, and yellow. He painted the sky with swirls and dots. The sky turned from blue to a swirl of colors. The dragon added sparkles everywhere. “Wow!” said Ray. “This is amazing!”
As they painted, a funny thing happened. A little fairy appeared! She had sparkling wings and a smile. “Thank you for painting the sky!” she said. “I love the bright colors!”
Ray asked, “Can you play with us, Fairy?” The fairy nodded and said, “Yes! But first, I have a secret. If you wish for something, it will come true in this magical land!”
Ray thought for a moment. “I wish for a big playground full of fun!” The fairy waved her wand, and in a flash, a huge playground appeared! It had slides, swings, and a big merry-go-round.
Ray and the dragon cheered! They ran to the playground. Ray slid down the slide and swung high in the sky. The dragon joined in with its own fun. They played until the sun began to set.
When it was time to go home, Ray said, “Thank you, Mr. Dragon and Fairy! Today was the best day ever!” The dragon smiled and flapped its wings. “We can play again, Ray! Come back anytime!”
With a flip, Ray stepped back into his cozy room. The sun was setting outside. He looked around, thinking of the fun he had. “What a magical day!” he whispered.
Ray fell asleep, dreaming of his adventures. He knew that with imagination, every day could be a day of play. And tomorrow, he could make new games in his magical land.
