Good morning, Class! 🌞 Today is a very special day, and I am super excited to share it with you! Do you know what day it is? That's right—it's Earth Day! On Earth Day, we celebrate our beautiful planet and learn how we can help take care of it.
Imagine for a second that Earth is a big, friendly giant! 🌍 What do you think this giant looks like? Is it green and blue with big fluffy clouds? Or maybe it has tall mountains and roaring rivers? Let’s close our eyes for a moment and picture our giant Earth.
Now, raise your hand if you love the trees, flowers, animals, and all the cool things on our planet! 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Great! Today, we are going to go on an Earth Day Adventure to discover why it’s important to love and care for our planet.
Here’s our adventure plan! First, we will have a little chat about what we love most about Earth. Then, we will create our own Earth Day Pledge! A pledge is a special promise we make to take care of our Earth.
What Do You Love?: I want each of you to think about one thing you love about Earth. Is it the blue oceans, the green parks, or the little animals that make us smile?
Sharing Time: We will sit in a circle and share what we love! You can draw a picture of it if you’d like.
