• A few everyday objects (e.g., a toy cat, a ball, a book, and a spoon)

As you gather around, I'll pull out an object from our Mystery Bag! Each time I take something out, let’s think about what it is, its name, and what sound it starts with!

📦 Object Exploration

1. Pull out the toy cat:

   • “What do we call this? Yes! It’s a cat! Can you all say, ‘cat’? What sound does it start with? (Ccccc...) Great job!”

2. Next, the ball:

   • “Now, here’s a ball! Can you say ‘ball’? What sound do we hear at the start? (Bbbbb...) Awesome!”

3. Then the book:

   • “Look at this! It’s a book! What’s the first sound? (Bbb...) Fantastic!”

4. Finally, the spoon:

   • “And here’s a spoon! Let’s say it together - spoon! What’s the first sound? (Sssss...) You’re all so clever!”

🌈 Connecting with Letters

Now that we’ve met our fantastic objects, let’s connect them to letters! We’ll look at some pictures of letters that match the sounds we heard. Can anyone tell me what letter comes after ‘C’ in the alphabet? Yes, that’s right, ‘D’!
