Lesson Introduction: Keeping a Safe Network of People

Welcome to Our Safety Circle!

🎉 A Warm Welcome!

Good morning, everyone! Today, we are going to dive into an important topic that will help us keep safe - Keeping a Safe Network of People.

🕵️‍♂️ Activity: The Safety Detective Challenge

To kick off our lesson, we are going to play a quick game called the Safety Detective Challenge! Here’s how it works:

  1. Gather Round! Create a circle with your desks or chairs. This is our "Safety Circle" where we all support each other.

  2. Detective Hats On! Everyone will get a chance to wear an imaginary detective hat. That means we’ll all put on our thinking caps and be problem solvers!

  3. Mystery Messages: I have a list of situations that can happen at school or online regarding friends and safety. I will read each one aloud, and I want you to think about:

    • Is this situation safe or unsafe?
    • Who in your network of people could help in this situation?
    • Why is it important to have a safe network of people around us?
  4. Discussion Time! After each situation, we’ll discuss your thoughts as a group. Don’t worry; there are no wrong answers, and every idea counts!

📨 Examples of Situations

Here are a couple of mystery messages to get us started. Remember to keep your ears open and your detective minds sharp!

🤔 What to Think About

As we go through each message, remember:

🌟 Let’s Begin!

With our Safety Detective hats on, let’s hear the first mystery message. Remember, teamwork and communication are key as we discuss how to create our very own safety network!

Who’s ready to solve some safety mysteries? 🕵️‍♀️✨

This activity not only engages students but also sets the stage for deeper discussions about the importance of safety and networks in their lives. Let's learn and support each other!
