Today, we will kick off our Science Fair preparations with an exciting and engaging activity called the Mystery Box Challenge! This will not only help you think creatively about your science projects but also get your hands dirty in a fun way.
The aim of this lesson is to ignite your curiosity and push the boundaries of your scientific imagination. By the end of this lesson, you'll have a better idea of your science project options, and you'll be inspired to explore different scientific concepts.
Each group will select one mystery box. When the teacher says "Go!", you will have 2 minutes to open the box and inspect the items inside.

Once the brainstorming time is up, each group will have 2 minutes to present their project ideas to the class. Don’t worry about perfection; this is about sharing creativity and having fun!
After all groups have shared their ideas, we will have a class discussion about the different scientific concepts presented and how they could potentially lead to a fantastic science fair project.
The Mystery Box Challenge is a fantastic warm-up to the Science Fair, setting the stage for exploration and innovation. Remember, this is just the beginning! Keep these ideas in mind as you embark on your science project journey this term.
Let's get started and discover the wonders of science together!
