Engaging Activity: Animal Parade

Materials Needed

• 10 small animal figurines or pictures (one animal type per group: kangaroo, koala, emu)
• Counting chart (a large poster with tens place marked)
• Coloured markers

Instructions

1. Gather the Animals: Have students form groups and take turns picking 10 animal figurines from a bag. Each group will represent a type of animal.
