Welcome to our exciting lesson on Shape and Texture! Today, we are going to become Art Detectives and embark on a creative adventure to uncover the secrets behind these important elements in art.

Mystery Box Reveal: Gather around the mystery box! Each student will take turns reaching in without looking and pulling out one object.
Observation: Using the magnifying glass, students will examine the object closely and describe its shape and texture to the class. Questions to consider:
Draw It: Once everyone has shared their object, each student will draw a representation of their item on the paper using pencils and colors. Encourage them to pay special attention to capturing the shape and texture in their drawings.
Create Together: After completing their individual drawings, students will collaborate to create a large mural. Each student will add their drawing or a collage piece made from their textured object to the mural, showcasing all sorts of shapes and textures.
