Introduction (5 Minutes)
Begin the lesson by asking students what they think non-fiction texts are. Write down their ideas on the whiteboard.

Engage the class by discussing some common characteristics of non-fiction, such as:

Main Activity (20 Minutes)

- Discuss the main idea and purpose of their text.

Conclusion (5 Minutes)
To wrap up the lesson, ask students to reflect on what they learned today about analysing non-fiction texts.
- Prompt: "What is one new thing you learned about non-fiction texts today?"
Allow a few students to share their thoughts.
Assessment
- Informally assess students through their participation in group work and presentations.
- Collect sticky notes summarizing their thoughts on non-fiction texts for a quick check of understanding.
Extension Activity
