Lesson Introduction: Exploring Mental Health

Welcome to Our Journey!

Hello everyone! Today, we're starting an exciting lesson about Mental Health. Before we dive into the topic, I want you all to imagine something fun and a bit different!

Mind Map Activity: "What’s on Your Mind?"

Instructions

  1. Grab your supplies: You’ll need a piece of paper and some coloured pencils or markers.
  2. Draw a large cloud in the centre of your paper. This cloud represents your mind!
  3. Inside the cloud, write "My Mind" and decorate around it with anything that comes to mind about how you're feeling today.
  4. Next, create branches from the cloud to express your thoughts and feelings. Here are some ideas to get you started:
    • Happy Moments: What made you smile today?
    • Worries or Concerns: Is there something on your mind that’s bothering you?
    • Things You're Grateful For: What are three things you appreciate about today?
    • Dreams or Goals: What’s one thing you’d like to achieve this week?

Sharing Circle

Once you've completed your mind map, we’ll gather in a circle. You’ll have the chance to share your thoughts if you're comfortable. Remember, this is a safe space, and sharing is optional!

Why This Matters

Understanding our feelings and thoughts is a key part of personal development and mental health. Today, we will explore how to take care of our mental health and support others in their journey as well. By reflecting on what’s in our minds, we’ll start learning how to manage our emotions effectively.

So, take a deep breath and let’s get started on this important journey together!
