Good morning, little explorers! 🌞 Today, we are going on an exciting adventure to discover the wonderful world of shapes! Are you ready to be shape detectives?
To kick off our lesson, let’s play a fun game called "Shape Detective"!
Gather Around: Come sit in a circle on the carpet.
Shape Mystery Box: I have a mystery box filled with different shapes!
Guess the Shape: I will pull out one shape at a time without showing it to you. You will have to guess what shape I have by asking questions like, “Does it have corners?” or “Is it round?”
Shape Sounds: You can also describe the shape using sounds. For example, a square makes a “tap, tap” sound when you clap four times!
Join the Fun: Once you guess the shape correctly, you can come up and show us the shape with your hands!
After we finish guessing all the shapes, we will sit down and talk about what we learned today. We will each share our favourite shape and a silly movement that goes with it!
