Beginning the Lesson: Fraction Feast

To kick things off, let's imagine we are at a busy pizza restaurant. 🍕 The restaurant is known for its giant pizzas, and today, we each get to create our own personalised pizza!

Step 1: Pizza Creation

Activity: In your imagination, picture a huge pizza in front of you. Now, draw your pizza on a piece of paper.
What to include: Make sure to divide your pizza into different sections. Perhaps you want one side with pepperoni, another with vegetables, and maybe a section just for cheese!

Step 2: Discussing Fractions

Once everyone has finished drawing their pizzas, we’ll look at what delicious fractions we've created!

Questions to consider:
- If your pizza is divided into 4 equal slices and you eat 1 slice, what fraction of the pizza have you eaten?
- If you decide to share 2 of your 4 slices with a friend, what fraction do you have left?
