• Blue and Yellow Paper: For the sea and sand
• Finger Paints: Blue, yellow, white, and brown
• Shells and Pebbles: For texture and inspiration
• Paint Brushes and Sponges

Getting Started:

1. Story Time: We will start by reading a delightful story about the beach. It might be about a little crab, a friendly dolphin, or even a beach party! Listen carefully to the sounds and colours described in the story, as they will inspire our artwork today.

2. Show and Tell: After the story, let’s have a look at some real shells and pebbles. Feel their shapes and notice their colours. Do you think we can use these to create some beautiful art? Let’s find out!

Creating Our Beach Masterpieces

Step 1: Make the Background

• Let’s start by painting a large sheet of blue paper to represent the sea. Use your fingers or brushes to make lovely waves.
• Then, we will use yellow paper to create the sandy part of our beach. You can tear the paper to make it look like real sand!

Step 2: Add Some Objects

• Once our background is dry, we will use our finger paints to make sun, seagulls, and maybe even footprints in the sand.
