Welcome, young explorers! Today, we’re going to embark on an exciting Maths Adventure in the Jungle! Grab your binoculars and your explorer hats because we’re going on a treasure hunt that will help us discover some fantastic maths concepts.
During this lesson, we will learn about:
Let’s start our adventure with a short story about a jungle filled with friendly animals. As we read, listen carefully for the numbers mentioned in the story!
"Deep in the magical jungle, there lived three cheeky monkeys swinging from the trees. They loved to play and shout, ‘Let’s find more friends!’ Soon, they found two parrots sitting on a branch. But oh no! They heard a rustling in the bushes and discovered four cute kittens lost!
Can you help the jungle friends? How many animals are there in total?"
After the story, let’s count the animals together.
To make our lesson even more interactive, let’s gather our jungle animal toys or pictures. Students can use them to represent the numbers we talked about. As they count, they’ll also practise addition and subtraction using their animal friends!
By starting our maths journey with a fun story and engaging activities, we’ll not only learn our numbers but also have a great time together. Remember, every bit of counting in our jungle adventure brings us closer to discovering the treasures of mathematics!
